I HAVE THIS MANY*** At The FringeArts Festival

See you in Philly!

Coming off a successful reading in Brooklyn, we are excited to present I Have This Many***, and new short play by Mariana Catalina, at the 2017 FringeArts Festival in Philadelphia. And we're thrilled to be performing at The Iron Factory, a cultural hub for dance and theater located in central Philly.

"Something to remember: reality resides in sensation."

Misconnection is the name of the game in this brand new one-act. Set in the middle of a road in your home town, three acquaintances/best friends attempt to reach each other and understand themselves within the context of their shared and individual realities. Through Beckett-style humor and blatant physical cries for understanding, their realities collide --unraveling the selves they thought they knew.

In lieu of a program, audience members will receive a handcrafted zine as a continuation of the performance.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE:

  • Sunday September 10th, 7pm

PLAY READING :: I Have This Many***

I Have This Many***

July 31st

We are hosting a FREE READING of I Have This Many***, a new play written by Mariana Catalina.

Set in the middle of a road in your home town, I Have This Many*** imagines a dissonant space where the familiar is strange, the strange infectiously familiar, and the desire to be fully understood by another human battles the tragic impossibility of that undertaking. Three acquaintances/best friends attempt to reach each other and understand themselves within the context of their shared and individual realities. Through inside humor and blatant physical cries for understanding, their realities collide --unraveling the selves they thought they knew.

Come join us at our studio to hear this new work! And stay after for **FREE** drinks and discussion on the **ROOFTOP DECK.**

WHEN: Monday JULY 31st, 7pm **Play runtime: 45 min  --it's a short one!

OPEN STUDIO: A Lie of a Tree

I crack it out now, split little tiny cracks to see what happened in there, something called the Past...

I crack it out now, split little tiny cracks to see what happened in there, something called the Past...

We're having an open studio this month to show some of the work we've been getting at with CHILD.

CHILD is the story of the last family in existence, a Mother, Father, and Child, aboard a generational spacecraft headed toward a new home for humanity. We've decided to parse the narrative apart by creating a series of installations focusing on different fragments of the piece. OPEN STUDIO: A lie of a tree  will focus in on the relationship between the mother and father, along with pieces of backstory and further context expressed through visual/audio, sculpture, and performance elements.

Friday+Saturday, August 19+20, 7-9pm. | 17-17 Troutman St., Third Floor #315.

It's free! But you can RSVP through our Facebook Event:
